The performance of multiple reference adaptive noise cancelers is investigated and a new filter structure is proposed that provides better tracking in the multipath, multisource, nonstationary automobile noise environment studied. The filter uses the LMS algorithm with multiple filtering stages and subbanded sections to improve the overall tracking performance while maintaining filter stability.
