MM-wave active antenna design for mobile communications
The increasing demand for mobile, broad bandwidth, cost-effective communications has led to the development of novel integrated active antennas operating at mm-wave frequencies. A design methodology is presented for a GaAs monolithic 30 GHz amplifier/antenna consisting of a HEMT device integrated with a slot radiator. Both antenna numerical analysis techniques and microwave circuit CAD tools are employed.
