This paper deals with the problem of admission control when different media with different quality of service requirements (QOS) are present in a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) environment. We propose an adaptive access control method based on the equivalent band width theory and the cell load measurement. Our algorithm allows efficient integration of speech and low bit rate video in an outdoor CDMA cellular network with imperfect power control.
