In this chapter, energy and entransy analyses are applied to a single stage absorption refrigeration system, the entransy dissipation rate and entransy-dissipation based thermal resistance rate of each component, as well as the system performance on a series of operating conditions, are calculated. The results of the entransy dissipation rate and corresponding thermal resistance analysis can be applied as a useful tool for evaluation and improvement of the absorption refrigeration system. It provides a simple and effective method to identify how to decrease the thermal resistance and increase the heat transfer efficiency at different devices and where a given design should be modified for the best performance.
