The deformation and stress responses and stability analysis of reinforced soil structures
In this paper a non-linear F.E. technique is used to study the behaviour of reinforced soil retaining walls and/or embankments. The analysis was supplemented by a rigorous testing program to provide the parameters for the finite element analysis. An extensive limit equilibrium analysis was also carried out to determine the overall stability of such structures. The results from these two analyses are used to evaluate the global behaviour of reinforced soil structures. -Authors
