Compact polarization rotator design based on asymmetrical periodic loaded SOI waveguides

We propose a polarization rotator design based on an asymmetrical periodic loaded waveguides on SOI platforms. The device features high conversion efficiency. The fabrication is CMOS compatible with a two-step lithography etching.
