All-optical half-adder based on a hydrogenated amorphous silicon microring resonator
We demonstrate the working principle of a silicon-based all-optical half-adder using AND-XOR Boolean logic. Ultrafast switching speeds are achieved by applying the Kerr effect to hydrogenated amorphous silicon microring resonators.
