The FFT filter bank-based constant false alarm rate detector (CFAR detector) is widely used for the detection of narrowband signals embedded in noise. This paper presents and compares the performance of the major FFT filter bank-based CFAR detectors for an additive white Gaussian noise channel. These results are useful for selecting the most appropriate FFT CFAR detector to meet the specific requirements for a given application.
