The authors describe the cataloguing of serial microform reproductions at the National Library of Canada in the context of the current debate over the bibliographic control of multiple versions. NLC practice in each area of the bibliographic description is presented in detail with reference to AACR2R and MARC fields. The conclusion is that NLC practice satisfies current practical and theoretical demands, but that change is inevitable and necessary.
