Increased levels of integration and increase in the operating frequencies have highlightened interconnect effects previously neglected during circuit simulation. Accurate prediction of these effects, involve solution of large system of equations, the direct simulation and optimization of which, is prohibitively expensive. This paper presents a new algorithm to perform optimization of high speed interconnect networks efficiently using parameterized model reduction techniques. The response and sensitivity needed to perform optimization are efficiently computed using parameterized model reduction techniques. This algorithm was applied to several practical interconnect networks and a significant speed up was observed.
