Gold nanoparticle-enhanced refractrometry for the design of tilted fiber Bragg grating biosensors

Tilted fiber Bragg gratings, used in reflection, were coated with gold nanoparticles to increase the biosensor's sensitivity. The biological interaction studied was the binding of avidin and biotin.
