Gold nanoparticle-enhanced refractrometry for the design of tilted fiber bragg grating biosensors

Tilted fiber Bragg gratings, used in reflection, were coated with gold nanoparticles to increasethe biosensor's sensitivity. The biological interaction studied was the binding of avidin and biotin. The effects of several parameters were evaluated.
